The Mynabirds tour diary × Midwest Summer

2012 was the most incomparable year of my life for many reasons, and one of the best & most unexpected reasons was having the opportunity to not do one tour, but two tours with The Mynabirds. The following days captured were spent in the Midwest, catching moments and locations that each day brought. The photographs below are my personal favorite memories shared through 35mm film, instant film, and digital.

The obsession inside of me for the road and the beauty of this world, it's people, and their dreams is a measureless yearning on my heart, heavy with anxiousness and purpose. I'm impatient to see what 2013 holds

  2. These images are GORGEOUS. And most are surprisingly CRYSTAL CLEAR, considering they were shot with film (if I am correct). My goodness you are a very fantastic photographer.

  3. Oh Katherine, these are so dreamy and youthful! I love how you capture everything in its purest moment.

Hope you don't mind me asking, for images 4, 5, 6, and seven did you use a pyramid filter on your digital slr? x

  4. I was so happy to see your name in the Saddle Creek newsletter today! Oddly enough, I saw them the two times they were here this past summer, but you weren't here for the Lawrence/Columbia bit, it would have been so neat to see you, lady. I venture to guess that you're doing well, I asked Aren about you the other day, he was in town for a blink. Hope you're doing well, these photographs are amazing! But you know that!
